Terms
Terms of Service
By using Hart Vintage you agree to these terms. They’re short on purpose.
1. The marketplace
Hart Vintage operates a curated marketplace for vintage guitars, boutique amplifiers, rare pedals, and investment-grade musical equipment. We are an intermediary — instruments are sold by individual dealers and consignors, not by Hart Vintage.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and able to enter binding contracts in your jurisdiction.
3. Listings and accuracy
Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings. We provide verification tools (photographic authentication, expert review) but the seller remains the warrantor of fact. Listings that pass our authentication carry a Verified Original badge — see how it works.
4. Trust and reporting
You can report any listing, message, profile, or dealer. We review within 24 hours. We may remove content or accounts that violate these terms, applicable law, or community standards.
5. Buyer protection
Payments are held in escrow until you receive the instrument and confirm it matches the listing. If it doesn’t, you have a 48-hour window to return it in the original condition. Insured shipping is included on transactions over a threshold we publish in-app.
6. Fees
Commissions vary by consignment tier (5–15%). Hart Vintage Pro subscriptions and dealer subscriptions are billed in-app. All fees are disclosed before purchase.
7. Prohibited conduct
- Listing counterfeit, stolen, or recalled goods.
- Circumventing the platform to settle a transaction off-network after a buyer was introduced via Hart Vintage.
- Harassing, threatening, or defaming other users.
- Attempting to compromise the security of the service.
8. Account suspension and deletion
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hart Vintage is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration in Wilmington, Delaware, except where prohibited.
